How To Get There

There are number of ways you can use to reach Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) since it is strategically located in the heart of the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur. The following are the ways to get to PWTC:


Putra Light Rail Transit (Putra LRT)

If you are taking the Putra LRT, stop at Masjid Jamek Station and take the STAR LRT to PWTC Station.


STAR Light Rail Transit (STAR LRT)

If you are taking the STAR LRT, stop at PWTC Station.


KTM Commuter & KL Monorail

If you are taking the KTM Commuter or KL Monorail, stop at KL Sentral Station first. Next, take the Putra LRT to Masjid Jamek Station. Then, take the STAR LRT to PWTC Station. Alternatively, you can take KTM Commuter from KL Sentral to Putra Station and take a walk across the street.



If you are taking the bus from KL Sentral, take RapidKL bus no. 109 to Pekeliling. From Pekeliling, take bus no. 618.


Taxi / Cab

If you are taking the taxi, just let them know you are going to PWTC. All taxis in Kuala Lumpur are metered. Fare begins at MYR 3.00 and there is an additional MYR 1.00 if you call a cab from the phone.

If you prefer to drive to PWTC by car, you can reach there through numerous routes – Jalan Kuching, Jalan Tun Razak or Jalan Raja Laut. PWTC has ample parking space with 750 bays within the Centre itself. Within the vicinity is 1,500 parking bays in the Shopping Mall and 1,200 parking bays in the Hentian Putra located just across the road from the Centre.


For foreigner intending to visit any part of Malaysia is required to be possession of only one visa provided be travels direct from one part of the country to another.

Visit passes issued for entry into Peninsular Malaysia are not valid for entry into Sabah & Sarawak. New visit passes must be acquired on arrival at the point of entry in those states. However subject to conditions required, visit passes issued by the Immigration Authorities in Sabah and Sarawak are valid for any part of Malaysia.

All commercial banks are authorized foreign exchange dealers, and licensed moneychangers can be found in shopping malls, and urban centres. Foreign currency and travellers’ cheque can also be exchanged at major hotel for nominal fee.

Currency and Banking
The Malaysia Ringgit (RM) is issued in notes of values (RM 100, RM 50, RM 20, RM 10, RM 5, RM 2, and RM 1). There are coins valued at 50, 20, 10 and 5 cent. Credit cards are popular in Malaysia; American Express, Diners Clubs, Master Card and Visa are well established in all urban centres.

Citizens of European countries (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Republic of Slovakia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden), African countries (Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia), Asia (Japan, Lebanon, Yemen, Oman, Qatar, South Korean, Turkey, Turkmenistan), Bahrn, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, United States of America and United Arab Emirates are eligible for three months visa free entry.

One Month Visa Free Visit

Applicable to citizens of ASEAN countries, South America countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador), North America countries (Costa Rico, Dominica Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala), Africa countries (Angola, Benin, Burundi, Cameroon, Chad, Congo, Djibouti, Gabon, Guinea), European countries (Bosnia, Herzegovina, Croatia, France, Greece, Macedonia, Poland, Slovenia), Asian countries (Cambodia, Laos), Corsica, Greenland, Guam and Zaire.

7-days Visa Free Visit

Applicable to citizens of European countries (Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijani, Bulgaria, Byelorussia, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldavia, Ukraine) and Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Russia Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan). Nationals of Asian countries (Republic of China, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, North Korea, Nepal, Myanmar, Taiwan, Vietnam) Cuba, Nigeria, and all Certified of Indemnity (CI) holders must obtain visa before entering Malaysia. Citizens of other nation besides those stated above (except Israel) are allowed to enter Malaysia for a Social and Business visit NOT exceeding one month without having a Visa.

14-days Visa Free Visit

Citizens of Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Libya and Syria are eligible for 14-days visa free visit.
